Effect of Economizer on Efficiency of the Fire Tube Steam Boiler
The effect of economizer on the efficiency of fire tube steam boiler is introduced. Through field test, the performance indexes of two no. 3 fire tubes passing through 3000kg /h wet back steam boiler (one with economizer and one without economizer) were measured. The results show that the boiler feed water temperature and efficiency are improved by using economizer.
Boiler feed water preheating is one of the most effective methods to improve the efficiency of steam boiler. Boiler chimney economizer is a kind of heat exchanger which separates hot fuel gas and water. The structure of economizer of fire tube steam boiler can recycle the waste heat from boiler.
Using economizer can reduce heat loss and improve boiler efficiency. At the same time, the loss types before and after the economizer are determined and the efficiency is calculated accurately.

Practice has proved that the initial cost of the boiler during its service life is only a small part of the total cost of the boiler. The main cost is the cost of fuel. Therefore, it is very important to adopt efficient and energy-saving steam boiler. Therefore, the energy-saving device used in this project can be used for steam boiler. The results show that the recovery of flue gas waste heat by economizer is one of the effective ways to save energy for fire tube boiler.
